The adjectives ending in -eux

Les monts d’Auvergne.

If you want your description to be slightly different, use some unusual adjectives. Notice that for the feminine change eux into euse and for the plural just add an s. There is no change for the masculine plural.

La mer était trop houleuse. The sea was too choppy. 

J’ai passé des vacances merveilleuses en Auvergne. I spent a marvellous holiday in Auvergne.

Mon père a commandé une omelette. Il a précisé: je la voudrais baveuse. 

My dad ordered an omlet. He added: I’d like it fluffy and light

Malheureusement, c’était un morceau de boeuf graisseux et sans goût.

Unfortunately, it was a greasy and tasteless piece of beef.

Ma copine passe toujours beaucoup de temps à faire ses devoirs, elle est très consciencieuse.

My friend always spends lots of time on her homework, she is very concientious.

Heureux l’homme qui ne marche pas selon le conseil des méchants,

The truly happy person doesn’t follow evil men advice,
